THE BANGARANG STORY
The Name
Bangarang is a word we took from the movie Hook. It means chaos, noise, disorder, madness, but the part that stayed with us was something else. Throughout the movie the Lost Boys keep telling Peter to “Bangarang”. It was an attitude and mindset he needed to adopt to remember who he was, to believe again and to remember he can fly. That idea stuck.
What We Are
Right now Bangarang is a travelling food and culture dream being brought to life. Since 2024, we’ve borrowed spaces barns, potteries, farms, gardens, and hidden corners around the Cotswolds. We turn them into places people want to be. From pop-ups and supper clubs to private catering and events, we bring the same energy wherever we go. From the heart, food, fire and wine and all the good stuff done properly.

Why Bangarang Exists
Bangarang exists to create a space where people can step out of the outside world and into something that feels real. Built around food, fire, wine and people, it’s driven by energy, connection and how you’re made to feel not just what’s on the plate. A place to let go, be looked after without asking, and lose yourself for a while with the people around you something with soul, something that feels alive, and something you want to come back to.

Daniel Miceli
Bangarang is built by Daniel Miceli, who has spent over 17 years and counting in hospitality, starting from glass wash and working across bars, restaurants, kitchens, floors, management and operations.
There came a point where it was clear there was nothing left to prove working for someone else, and with Bangarang living in his head rent

There came a point where it was clear there was nothing left to prove working for someone else, and with Bangarang living in his head rent free, he knew he had to bring it into existence and share it with the world so he left with no real plan, no safety net, and only a handful of events lined up.
He took Bangarang on the road to prove the product, build and grow a loyal following, and lay the foundations for a future restaurant not with a perfect plan, but with a clear vision and a deep drive to make it real. With events booked and no kit, he even built the Bangarang BBQs from scratch learning to weld quickly and customising them to fit the concept.
Everything is built with intent to create something people don’t forget.
